Custom "Tru-Stone" Rollerballs & Fountain Pens

I have turned a wide variety of materials over the past ten years while crafting my high quality writing instruments, and have always sought to find something that was unique, beautiful, workable on the lathe, and highly collectible by pen lovers everywhere. I have been able to achieve this through using natural materials like deer antler and exotic woods like Bethlehem olive wood. In my search I have also turned acrylics and celluloids. I am now introducing a new manmade high-end material, that when paired with my Platinum fittings and free maple wood boxes makes for a spectacular presentation! The material is called "Tru-Stone" and it is more difficult than wood and antler to turn, but still possible with patience and expertise. "Tru Stone" is manufactured by pulverizing semi-precious stones into fine particles, combining them with other natural pigments and materials then reforming them under heat and pressure. The resulting material looks almost exactly like marble and has a good heft to it, without being heavy like actual marble would be. It is expensive to purchase and takes almost twice as much time to turn as most exotic hardwoods, so I have priced these a bit higher, at $85. You will see this material being used in pens elsewhere on the internet that sell for up to $145.00, so I believe my price is reasonable and a good value. Remember, all my rollerballs and fountain pens have Platinum fittings. That's the absolute best you can buy! Please compare before you buy - and don't settle for less.

Are you a serious pen collector who will use only high quality fountain pens? You may choose any of the CUSTOM WOOD PENS from the gel/rollerball page, (not the ballpoints page) then simply add the fountain pen tip (rollerball upgrade kit) listed here. I'll replace the rollerball tip with the fountain pen tip. Tip will ship "dry" so you will ink it for the first time! It's only $65 additional, and includes a solid 14k "585" medium nib, a bulk ink pump, and starter "international" type cartridge. Extra cartridges are available at Staples Office Supply as "Allwrite #8004-32"
These solid 14k nibs simply glide over the page with no pressure, and are vastly superior to cheaper "Iridium tipped" steel nibs. They are hand made by a German manufacturer who makes 80% of the 14k nibs used by the major pen manufacturers. The nib is the most important part of a fountain pen, so it pays to get the very best!
