The
following
pens are crafted from "Cellulose Acetate"
a very popular manmade material
that has pretty much replaced the flammable "Cellulose
Nitrate" that has been used since
the 1930's, to craft some of the
finest pens in the world
that sell for hundreds of
dollars each! This material
is more difficult to work with
than any wood, but the finished
pen has a mirror-like finish, a
brilliant array of colors,
and a translucent,
iridescent quality.
The rollerballs are priced at $75 and the ballpoints are $50. The Ballpoints use genuine Cross® refills
or any generic refill that fits Cross® type pens.
The
Rollerballs use the Pilot G2 gel refills (or) Zebra "Orbitz" Archival,
Acid-free Gel ink refills.
Refills for both types are
readily
available
in your choice of point sizes and ink colors from office supply stores,
drugstores, and many other retailers.
I
am crafting these pens with
PLATINUM fittings.
Please compare anywhere on
the internet with other
Platinum Celluloid pens. Enjoy a great writing experience
with custom flair, that will elicit comments from anyone who sees your
writing instrument!

Are you a serious pen
collector who will
use only high quality fountain
pens? You may choose any of the CUSTOM WOOD
PENS
from the gel/rollerball page, (not the
ballpoints
page) then simply add the fountain pen tip (rollerball upgrade kit)
listed
here. I'll replace the rollerball tip with the fountain pen tip. Tip
will ship "dry" so you will ink it for the first time! It's only
$65 additional, and includes a solid 14k "585"
medium nib, a bulk ink pump, and starter
"international" type
cartridge. Extra
cartridges are
available
at Staples Office Supply as "Allwrite #8004-32"
These solid 14k nibs simply glide
over the page with no pressure, and are vastly superior to cheaper
"Iridium tipped" steel nibs. They are hand made by a German
manufacturer who makes 80% of the 14k nibs used by the major pen
manufacturers. The nib is the most important part of a fountain
pen, so it pays to get the very best!
